Rated 5 out of 5 by from I've Got Sound! I ordered this to connect my new LG soundbar to my LED TV. Since my TV did not have an optical outlet, using my new soundbar was delayed. The TOSLINK Optical Digital Audio Converter did the job. It was simple to connect. It would have been nice to have the Coaxial cable included AND instructions to remind one to change TV audio settings once the product is connected. All in all, however, it did the trick!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A real problem solver the converter really got me out of a jam. I was using the earphone jack to connect to my sound bar and something came loss inside the TV and it would no longer work. When the converter came, I plugged it in and it worked right away.

I need to know if this is what i need. I have a tv that has the fiber optical output. My surround has the rf digital audio input. So just to make sure im getting across what i need to say is. My tv has the output with the red light. My surround has the input for the digital audio cable that is similar to a rca cable. Will this converter do the job. I really have no idea. I need to make sure i get the correct one
Asked by: Chris
You would actually need the Optical to Coaxial digital converter (#40019). This will convert that optical signal coming from the TV and then convert it to a digital coax signal. You would also need to make sure to get an optical cable and a digital coax cable if you do not already have one.

i have a mitsubishi dlp tv with only a digital coax output but my bose cinemate series ii has both rca input nd optical input, will this product solve my issue?

Asked by: Anonymous
Yes this product will work for your solution. The Digital Coax cable goes from the TV to our device and then you would connect a Optical from the device to your Bose.
