The HDMI to VGA Wall Plate Converter is an ideal solution for connecting newer laptops or computers that output an HDMI signal to a legacy display, such as a projector or monitor, which accepts a VGA input. This device converts the digital HDMI A/V signals to an analog VGA video and Stereo Audio signals. Many products on the market, particularly cables, claim this capability; however, most of these products only "adapt" from HDMI to VGA. Without an active conversion process, there are very few devices that are able to output an analog VGA signal from an HDMI output. The wall plate form factor provides a clean, professional looking finish.

This product is easy to use with no software or drivers required. Simply connect the unit and enjoy high definition digital content on an analog display. For added convenience, this device is bus powered from the HDMI port*, so no additional power source is required. A USB A male to DC Power Pin cable is included and is designed to power the wall plate when it is used with a low power HDMI source device.

*Note: This product is able to draw the required power for operation from the HDMI source device and does not typically require a power supply. For situations that may require the use of a power supply, e.g. use of a low power source device, please use the USB power cable which is included.
