USB serial adapter works well
Use this serial adapter to interface with multiple end devices. So far it has worked perfectly with all of the end devices I communicate with.

This will give you 2 different serial COM ports on one machine. If you need to share a serial device between 2 different machines, this would not work for you.

They will be static, but you can assign/change them in the Control Panel (Windows).
