Digital Visual Interface (DVI) is the standard interface for high-performance connection between PCs and flat panel displays, CRT displays, projectors, and HDTV. This video cable is fully compliant with the DVI standard defined by DDWG (Digital Display Working Group). Three analog 30 AWG coaxial lines enable high speed analog transmission.
Tri-shielded undermold and braid shield protects against unwanted EMI/RFI interference. Each coax line is individually wrapped in foam-polyolefin insulation and overwrapped with a braided tinned copper shield. 28 AWG copper conductors are individually insulated in hard-density polypropylene to minimize crosstalk, and ensure high speed, error-free transmission. Gold-plated contacts provide full conductivity with no data loss. PC and Mac compatible cable supports hot-plugging of DVI display devices. PC-99 color-coded: blue, white.
Please Note: The DVI connector on this cable can only be inserted into a DVI-I interface.

Works great, good value
I needed a cable to connect my laptop to my HP monitor that has only DVI inputs. This cable works great and is the perfect length because I have my laptop sitting right next to my monitor at my desk. 100% great product- no complaints whatsoever.

2m DVI Male to HD15 VGA Male Video Cable (6.6ft)
This was bought to replace a cable/adapter combo on which the weight of the cable had bent the adapter so that it no longer functioned. It has solved the problem and has so far functioned perfectly.

Perfect solution
Due to space limitations, using a DVI-VGA adaptor followed by VGA-VGA cable was not possible. This DVI-VGA cable fit and worked perfectly.

All around good service and products
I purchased a VGA-DVI cable. My current setup using a DVI-VGA converter was showing signs of age. So I opted for a direct cable. I had an initial question regarding this cable and I emailed customer service. I received a response within 24 hours and decided to purchase. The cable works flawlessly and solved the fluctuating colors on the monitor due to the failing converter. It was shipped quickly and received without any issues. So, YES to CablesToGo!!!

Questions & Answers
How do I know if my computer is a DVI-A or DVI-D?
This type of documentation will be noted in your video card manual or by your PC manual. If you do not have this your PC will list your video model number in device manager and you can search that way.

That cable will work if you also have DVI-I cables going from each computer to the KVM switch. If you are using DVI-D cables from the computer to the switch, then it will not pass the analog signal needed to send to the VGA input on the monitor.

Do you have a DVI D to VGA?
DVI-D is a strictly digital signal and VGA is analog only. So you could not use a simple adapter. You would need an active converter. We have a HDMI to VGA converter (40265) that you could use with a DVI to HDMI cable. You would also want the separate power supply (98101) since it is a DVI-D source that you are using.
