simple fix to a complex system
traveling where there are no cell phone service defaults to the old CB radio - other than having a custom cable made - due to length or end configuration - this adapter worked great with the other items I order'd from Cables to Go.... a hint - if you use it in a rough environment - the outer knurled finish grips great when shrink sleeving is applied covering both cable end and this adaptor ...no more worries about disconnects in rough terrain

Handy Adapter
Use this product to input mono signal from PA system to camera microphone input. This eliminates the need to add another channel of audio during editing. This basically splits the mono signal into a right and left channel (no stereo).

My wife is deaf in one ear, and uses a RF Headphone set, which is not reversable (left to right). Will this adaptor combine a stereo signal and send to both sides of a headphone set, or only to one side? If only one side, is there a way to tell which side (R or L?)
You would want a Mono to Stereo adapter. The left channel is usually the primary channel with Mono.

If I plug this into my computer, and another stereo device into this, will the mono sound go through both channels on my 3.5mm device?
Yes. That is correct the mono sound would go to both left and right channels.

I am deaf in one ear, so when I use just one of my iPhone earplugs, I hear only one channel (left or right). I am looking for an adapter that will convert the stereo mini jack output into a mono signal so that both channels are merged into one. Will this adapter do this? It seems it should, and if so will order several units. Thank you! Ron
Yes, this 3.5mm adapter will combine the left and right into one channel which is mono audio.

Hi. So if i am reading this description correctly, it would combine both the left channel and the right channel, and reduce them both to 1 single channel?
That is correct, it will combine both the left channel and the right channel, and reduce them both to 1 single channel.
