This adapter is perfect for situations where a computer with a DisplayPort video output must be connected to an HDMI display. The small form-factor of this adapter is the perfect size for transport. Connect the adapter directly to the PC and then connect your HDMI cable between the adapter and the display. This adapter features nickel-plated DisplayPort connector and supports up to a full 1080p resolution.

Please Note: This DisplayPort adapter operates passively and is designed for use with dual mode graphics cards often designated with D++. HDMI audio is supported by this adapter when connected to a device that possesses dual mode and HDMI audio capability. Although the vast majority of source devices support HDMI with audio, some are incapable when using a passive adapter. If you are uncertain if your source device supports HDMI audio with passive adapters, please consult with your computer or graphics card manufacture to verify.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheapest adapter's I've ever seen We ordered 30 of these for a new building that was completed on our campus. The button to release the adapter from the machine is hard for people to see. After a few connections plastic will start to separate and it's not that long until the adapter just falls apart in your hands. These are junk, stay away and get a different model.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked perfectly! This adapter is a must for anyone using a desktop for HDMI projection. I'm all my years of tech usage, I never realized that desktops do not have the portable HDMI ports. This adapter was a quick, easy, and inexpensive fix to my dilemma.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Adapting New and Older Equipment In our office when we personalize a worker's site for convenience and ease of work, it is very helpful when we order a new piece of equipment (In this instance we went to a 2 monitor system) It was great to be able to order the adapter to make what we already had totally usable.

I have a Dell Optiplex 755 with a displayport outlet. It does not specify whether it is DP, DP++ or what, so I assume it is just DP (the older version). Will this device convert that signal to my HDMI-equipped tv? If so, is it plug and play? I have previously tried an adapter similar to this and it did not work. Are there any special settings on the computer and/or tv I need to make for this to work? Can you provide, or direct me to, any resources that might explain properly connecting, and the settings I need to make for this to work? Thanks, Bill

This is a plug and play device and will work on a HDMI TV, our adapter is DP++.
