Use it in standard electrical boxes or mud rings, and with standard decorative wall plates for easy installation. HD15 female DB-style feed-through connectors provide a secure connection for VGA cables. The 3.5mm jack on the front connects by a 3in pigtail to another jack for easier connection of your audio cable.

The old wall plate looked terrible, held together by tape. This plate is metal and worked great. We also got a decorative single gang wall plate to go over it and now the connection (which goes through the wall, into the ceiling, for a overhead projector) looks very professional.

It cleaned up some loose wires we had, and made it very simple for our customers to plug their laptops into our system. Don't forget to order both cables to hook a laptop up to the plate so you will have them on hand for your customers.

Using these added a clean professional look to the stage. I expect them to be long lasting based on the duable metal construction. Overall, very satisfied.

They aren't cheap -- but they look great and are holding up even better. We typically use these when installing classroom projectors with long HD15 M/M UXGA Monitor Cable with 3.5mm Audio.

The wall plate insert does not come with a Decora Single Gang Wall Plate. You will want to consider adding part 03725.
