Not Nokia Cell Phone Compatable?
The 3.5 to 2.5mm adapter seems to be of very high quality construction and I'm sure it would last a long time if I was able to use it. I bought it to use my 3.5mm headphones to listen to music on my Nokia 6790 phone that has a 2.5mm jack but it only has sound in the right earbud. Might be a problem with the phone or they are just not compatable. If it worked with my phone I would give it 5 stars but right side sound only just won't do. I have made purchases from Cables To Go in the past and have always been very satisfied with everything but this time is a dissapointment.

Too bulky
Since this product only has one simple function, there are only about two things that could go wrong (1) poor construction or (2) poor design. The construction is sturdy, so that leaves the design as a possible trouble point, which in my case it was. The casing is so bulky that it will not work with such miniaturized devices as some smartphones.
One other minor quibble: the product description here seems to have its use backwards: The description of the adapter as having a 3.5mm female and a 2.5mm male connector is correct; which means that it would adapt a 3.5mm plug to a 2.5mm jack, not the other way around.

2.5mm male to a 3.5mm female adapter
Hello, I ordered several of these for my use with my XBox gaming system and my Porsche racing steering wheel made by Fanatec...(the wheel uses 2.5mm plug to come out of it and I have't to adapt it to 3.5mm to fit my headset). I use it to plug into my wheel and to plug into my headphones. These really did impress me on the quality and how well they are made.

Will not work for cell phones
I tried to use this to connect my LG phone up to some headphones. However, the casing is so bulky and large it would not connect to the phone. One would think that for a 2.5 mm stereo connection a small casing would be an obvious need.

Questions & Answers
May I use this adapter to use my iphone headset (and mic of course) on a cordless phone with 2.5 mm headphone jack?
No. This is a 3 conductor adapter. Your iPhone headset has 4 conductors. So unfortunately, you would be missing the microphone when using this adapter with the iPhone headset.
