The Ultima cable optimizes style, quality, and value in a cable specially designed for high performance. Constructed from three individually shielded, 75 Ohm coax cables, this cable delivers a performance connection that maximizes color and image. The cable features 100% shield with an overlapped foil and copper braid. The shield continues through the connector with a 360° solder joint between the cable braid and a copper foil wrap on the HD15 aluminum undermold, providing a shielding solution for a noise-free connection. This design assists in reducing EMI/RFI interference to meet FCC requirements. 24k gold-plated connectors provide maximum oxidation resistance for error-free data transfer. Finally, an ultra-flexible jacket and oversized thumbscrews make installation easy.

Please Note: This cable is not compatible with Y/Cr/Cb video, and is not compatible with all computer monitor ports. Make sure your graphics card supports Y/Pb/Pr component video or that your video source provides a Y/Pb/Pr component video signal from the HD15 port to use this cable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent Quality for a low price The product was much thinner and less bulky than my previous cable with no loss in signal quality. This made the cable much easier to run along with the walls and trays. I also am glad that the product has a lifetime warranty as my previous cable failed with no recourse with the manufacturer. An excellent quality cable at a low price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Video Cable - Low Cost I needed a low cost video cable for integrating high resolution devices to my theater entertainment center. This cable was half the cost of others and was a high quality product. Glad I bought it from Cables to Go.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from works ok I saved 80% of total cost, the cable works ok, meaning im very satisfied with it. The connectors are not the super great kind but you can deal with them, they make their job pretty well and if you dont play around connecting and disconnecting them all the time theres no reason to think they will stop functioning.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Input to Entertainment Center Component I use this to strap my cpu to my component input so that I can use my TV in my entertainment center as a computer. Almost everyone has expansion channels on your DVD input or some such device. Just plug into the input of that device and strap the other end on the back of your cpu where you would normally hook up your computer screen. Voila! You can now use that unused channel to browse the internet, and you can switch back to the other channel to watch TV. No further equipment is needed.

Questions & Answers

My new BlueRay player has a HDMI connecter and my TV has the 3 prong RCA connector. Is this what I need to get my blueRay to work with my "older" TV?

Asked by: MH
That cable will not work for you. That cable is used to connect a component source (red, green, blue) to a VGA input on a projector or TV. I would check the Blu-Ray player to see if it has yellow, red, white output. If not, you would need a converter to make the connection between the Blu-Ray and the TV (HDMI to composite video and audio). Unfortunately, we do not sell a converter like that.

That cable is to be used in the opposite direction. It should be used to go from component video source to a HD15 input like on a projector that support the component video signal. You would need a converter to make that connection. Unfortunately, we do not carry a VGA to component video converter.

can I use this to hook into dvd recorder to vga on computer ?

This would not work in that application. You would need to consider a converter such as our part 40481.

I would like to display what is on a computer screen (VGA output) onto a TV screen with (componet inpit); will this cabel do this?

Asked by: Anonymous
Unfortunately this cable will not work for this application. Unfortunately we would not carry a adapter to do this. If the TV has a HDMI conneciton we would recommend using our part number 40010.
