Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good cables for what was needed The cables did the job we needed. We needed to connect Larger 3.5" HD's to an external RAID box that had 2.5" HD's. The connectors connected to the Backplane of the external RAID device and the other end connected to the 3.5" HD's. The only thing we needed to do is modify the power requirements for the larger HD's. Good stuff!

Questions & Answers

I have a dell laptop. I need to create a test bed which will allow me to hook a SATA drive to my laptop using the internal hookup. Are this the extension cable to do this?

Asked by: Anonymous
If the laptop is a 2.5in drive, then this would work as an extension cable.

Are all SATA Data pins connected from male to female? I am most interested to know if pin 11 is connected on both ends. I have purchased some of your competitors and they do not hook up pin 11. If you have a wire diagram of this part that would be best...

If you have a wire diagram of this part that would be best. I'm looking to purchase 100~150 pcs. Thank you, Scott Reed Western Digital Corp.
