Our CMG-rated line was specifically engineered to meet this requirement while overcoming common challenges faced by installers in these environments. Low-Profile connectors (1.25 in total depth) save valuable space in the gang box, while the rounded shape accommodates smaller monitor mounts so that the cable can be easily hidden from view.

Specifically designed to support RS-232/Serial communications, this cable is fully shielded to prevent unwanted EMI/RFI interference. The fully molded cable design delivers excellent strain relief, while connector thumbscrews provide a quick and easy connection every time.

The transmit and receive signals are crossed to ensure proper data transmission.

I love the low-profile style, but no two null-modem cable products are the same (I've purchased 20 of these, they are all the same, but each vendor and serial-port nerd has a different idea of the ideal crossover pattern). It would be nice if I didn't have to discover my own wiring diagram for this product. I'm using this product between two battery-operated devices and the best solution I found is to physically cut pins 1 and 5 on each connector, it shaves about 10mA off the power consumption off the DCE end.
