Perfect for IR or Mono audio
I buy this item in bulk for use in our commerical audio/TV divsion. This is used as IR transport for our URC, Crestron and AMX emmitters exclusively. A good value for termination point on a keystone plate. It would be great if I could get them in BLACK

Solid Construction
Standard keystone design, close density back for 2 conductors *only* 3.5mm plug. Connectors are spring loaded and no tools required to set (e.g., punch-down tool). This does NOT work for IR emitters/receivers -- you need a 3-conductor version for that application.

2-conductor only provides mono audio
This product works very well if you understand its capabilities. However, if you would like the 3.5 mm jack to transfer stereo audio, then you need to purchase the 3-conductor keystone. This one is 2-conductor and only transfers mono audio. I would simply eliminate this product because of the risk of confusion. If someone buys a 3-conductor and don't need it or want it, they can of course only connect two wires.
