Perfect for situations where two HDMI devices must share a single HDMI input on a display, this HDMI auto switch provides for hassle free operation. The power required for operation of this switch is provided from the HDMI source devices, so no separate power adapter is required*. With the wealth of devices now using HDMI, it is easy to run out of free HDMI inputs on an HDTV or home theater receiver. This HDMI selector switch solves the problem by providing additional high-definition digital inputs for sources including Blu-ray™ and DVD players, gaming systems, and high-definition cable/satellite boxes.

The auto switching functionality provides for a system that is easy to use, while manual switching functionality is available for situations where more control is desired. The auto switching feature is able to sense when a new device is connected or powered on and will automatically switch to that port. When the device is disconnected or powered off, then this feature automatically switches to the first connected device. In situations where two devices are connected to the switch and powered on, or sending an HDMI signal to the switch, the Select button on the top of the switch may be used to switch back and forth between the two inputs.

Please note: Most HDMI source devices are able to provide the necessary power for the operation of the HDMI switch; however, in some situations the power supply of the HDMI source device is insufficient and additional power is required. In those situations, power for the HDMI switch may be supplied using C2G's HDMI Voltage Inserter (CG42223) or USB Powered HDMI Voltage Inserter (CG42236).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works perfectly This was the perfect solution for our conference room projector with 1 HDMI input. The Apple TV (which is always on) plugs into Input 2, the other HDMI cable into Input 1, and it switches as expected between the two of them. The Apple TV has plenty of juice to power the switch. Nice!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not work - no response from customer service Does not auto change at all using dish network and flex inputs. Tried adding the optional power boost and still does not work. Only manual switching works

Rated 5 out of 5 by from COMPACT, SIMPLE SETUP AND OPERATION I bought this to switch a couple of HDMI sources in our cable TV setup. The switch was easy to set up, and 'just works' as described and expected. The only thing I was surprised at, and perhaps it is of little actual consequence, it has a jack for a 5VDC power supply, but a supply was not included. I had one which fit and used that. Otherwise, nicely done unit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The Right HDMI Adapter for the Right Situation It's perfect for my application: Connect a laptop and a DVD player to one HDMI input on my Smart TV. Only issue is the position of the output and input jacks and the weight of the unit; it has a tendency to fall off the TV stand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little switch This switch is great. I plugged it in and it did exactly what it was supposed to do. It's in a not-so-accessible place, so the auto-switch feature was critical. I tried other switches but none of them switched as reliably as this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Spent quite a bit of time reasearching what I could use for my issue. This worked right out of the box as advertised. Using it for a hdmi input from Verizon set top box and a blu ray player going out in single hdmi to television

Ive used you guys in the past and have always been happy. We recently got a new LG soundbar with 1 HDMI input. We usually will be using directv genie most of the time. But when we switch to the bluray for a movie or netflix, our remote tells the genie to turn off and the bluray to turn on. Would this unit automatically make the change? I dont want to have to go up and manually make the switch.
Asked by: Jason
It does not. When you plug a Genie in (HDMI 1) the led comes on for that input device. If you then plug in a Firestick (for instance) to (HDNI 2) it switches to that led. In that sense it is auto switching. However when you power on the genie it does NOT auto switch back to the first input. You must then start using the manual button to switch between inputs.

Is this device HDCP compliant? Many people do not realize, if you are splitting from a cable box or a streaming device that is providing you with premium content with an HDMI out, it needs to be HDCP compliant. If it is not, then your TV screen is solid BLACK. I am assuming it is not because there is no description regarding HDCP, plus the price is way too low for a 3 way splitter using HDCP technologies. Please let me know.
Asked by: Dave
This Device is HDCP Compliant. This will not split video it will switch between multiple devices and a Display.
