I have a wireless security camera in my barn. The walls are 2' solid rock and mortar and the wireless signal is not even making out of the building. What I am trying to do is to remove the antenna from the camera, extend the antenna alone outside of the barn and mount it there leaving the camera itself inside the barn. Will this work for that application?
Asked by: Tami
This will depend on how the antenna is connected to the camera. If it is connected via BNC then you would want to check with the manufacturer to see if this is possible.

This cable is RG59/U Dual Shield coaxial cable and constructed with a 75Ω copper conductor. This is acceptable for my requirements. However, are the molded PVC strain relief nickel-plated BNC connectors rated at 50 or 75 Ohm. You do not distinguish between either in the prod disc. It would stand to reason the connectors are 75 Ohm; however, the photo you show is that of 50 Ohm BNC. Some clarification is necessary for me to purchase these from you.
Asked by: Charles
The Connectors will Be 75Ohm connectors.

Hello Is this cable suitable for Digital SDI signal?

Asked by: Alan
It will pass the SDI signal but it is not specifically designed for that application. So it is not the ideal cable for that but it will pass the signal.

is this cable good for exterior use? Where can I find longer sections, like 300 or more feet? Thanks

Asked by: Wade
It is not an outdoor rated cable. We do not carry this cable in longer lengths than 100ft. We do custom make cables. Please see the link below. http://www.cablestogo.com/custom-and-oem/overview
