Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extension cable for Logitech StreamCam Cable works great. I recently purchased Logitech StreamCam (web camera) with has unusual chord. The chord is permanently attached to camera and the chord is USB-C 3.1 with male end. I have USB-C 3.1 port on my PC so the chord worked well with my PC. The problem with my setup is that the chord is too short at 5 feet. I needed an extension cable and finding a USB-C 3.1 extension cable is not easy. I spent hours on internet trying to find an appropriate cable. I found that many other buyers of the StreamCam have the same problem. I purchased extension cables from two different companies and both did not work. Finally, I found this C2G cable. Using on-line chat, I asked about the cable and was assured that the cable would solve my problem -- and it does. One last note -- on line chat for C2G is very good. I tried other cable companies and the people were not knowledgeable.

Questions & Answers

I need an extension for my USB-C hub, it has 4 usbC and 3 usbA ports. The manufacturer specified for the extension: "cable is 100W capable and also does data". Would your cable extension support this? Also from what I understand my 3 A ports won't work?

Asked by: Brian
that technically should be able to handle that. However, we have seen instances where due to the extra connection between devices, using an extension can sometimes cause degradation. Typically we see it will signal but you may see it with power delivery too. As stated though, technically spec wise, it should work.

Will this cable allow data transfer between a usb c hub and my macbook pro? I have my laptop elevated on a stand and just need to add a bit of length to keep the hub from dangling in mid air.

Asked by: Cookieman
Yes this can extend the length of your hub. Please take note that this will only work with 3.1 devices and will not support 2.0 devices. Also keep in mind the length of the cable while using this extension, if the length is too long you can lose features of USB.

Does this cable support 5A charging? Or actually, just 3.25A would be enough - 65W at 20V. I see that the Gen1 cable does not, but it's not specified here.

Asked by: Michael L
This cable supports up to 3A charging.
