how does the lifetime warrantee work? what are the terms?

Asked by: r young
The warranty is explained below. Also we need a copy of a proof of purchase. Limited Warranty C2G warrants custom and distributed cables manufactured by C2G against defects in material and workmanship for the life of the product (15 years under normal conditions in specified operating environment). In cases where the customer has provided a configuration, C2G warrants that the construction of the cable will match the customer-provided specification. THE FOREGOING LIMITED WARRANTY IS GIVEN IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND WARRANTIES ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE, ALL OF WHICH ARE HEREBY WAIVED BY CUSTOMER AND DISCLAIMED BY C2G. The above limited warranty does not apply to damage from misuse or to cables that have been altered, repaired or tampered with. C2G's sole obligation under this limited lifetime warranty, and the sole and exclusive remedy of the purchaser, shall be the repair, replacement or refund, at C2G's option, of the defective cable. In the event that any product has been categorized as "End of Life" and discontinued, all warranties are void from the date in which the product is determined to be "End of Life". This will also be noted on the website for said product(s). All other products other than custom and distributed cables, including network electronics, power protection and peripheral sharing products, are covered by the applicable manufacturer's warranty. The manufacturer's warranty is subject to change without notice.
